Wilderness Educator Internships APPLY for the 2015 Season
In 2015 the Park will hire two 6 month Wilderness Educator positions and one 6 month Alpine Steward/Alpine Conference Coordinator position. The season for all three positions is May 17-November 8, 2015. The links above provide a description of the positions. An application form is also provided. Baxter State Park is seeking assistance with the maintenance, security, design, organization, installation, purchasing and upgrading of the Park’s data management and information systems including both software and hardware components.
Provided service would include network and software license management, and database administration as well as periodic support to train and troubleshoot issues for Park employees with assigned laptop or desktop computers. Provided service would also include guidance and assessment of technology resources already in use or new systems that are being considered.
The IT specialist must work with external partners, including the Maine Office of Information Technology (OIT) and other agencies and vendors, to arrive at the most appropriate integration Baxter Park systems with the larger systems of the State of Maine.
